The Mayflower Hotel opened in 1925 and was purchased by Hilton Hotels in December 1946 for $2.6 million. It was sold to Hotel Corporation of America for $12.8 million on April 1, 1956.
After several more ownership and management changes over the next 60 years, the Mayflower became part of Marriott's Autograph Collection in 2015.
