Dear Mom & Dad -
The outside of this hotel shows nothing of its beautiful southwestern style interior, rooms are nicest I was ever in! It's superbly decorated in every way, carving, chests paintings, rugs metal work & wood work, typical southwest style

Hilton Hotel in Albuquerque opened on June 9, 1939 with 160 rooms.  The 10-story building was the tallest in the state of New Mexico at the time.  This was Conrad Hilton's first hotel in Albuquerque.   In 1969, Hilton sold the property and eventually the hotel changed hands several times until 2009 when it reopened as Hotel Andaluz.
