The 6-story hotel opened in 1987 as Sunrise Hilton Inn and later rebranded as Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites. In 2004, the property was sold and re-opened as Sawgrass Grand Hotel and Suites Sports Complex. The hotel closed in 2019.
