| 1966 Barbados 25 Cents Scott #291 |
On December 2, 1966, Barbados issued a set of four commemorative stamps for the independence of the West Indies island from the British. The 25-Cent denomination featured the newly opened Hilton Hotel in Bridgetown. For the 50th Anniversary of the Independence, Barbados issues a set of commemorative stamps in 2016 and again the same Hilton Resort was featured on the $2.20 Tourism stamp.
